Meet Our Staff

Henry Salgado |
Henry began working for the college in December 2006 and turned the college from an idea into reality. He has spent the past eight years in the postsecondary education industry, working as a Director of Career Services as well as School Director. Henry is a member of the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools.
Henry enjoys golfing and dirt bike riding, and is raising three boys.
"I love watching a student come in with a blank look on his [or her] face, not really knowing what he [or she] wants to do with his [or her] life, and within a few weeks of training they have a career."

Alfred Loya |
Al started getting the campus ready for opening in May 2007. He is from Santa Ana, California. Al graduated from high school, started attending community college, but went for technical training instead. Al is father and grandfather, and his hobbies are old cars and motorcycles.
Al has instructed and trained at this level for several years and has been very fortunate in being acknowledged for his commitment to safety.

Russell Thrower |
| In 1974 Russell joined the Navy Seabees where he learned the basics of heavy equipment operation. From there, he was hired to do strip mining at a local quarry pushing decompressed granite off the side of a mountain with a D-8 dozer.
From there he went to Texas, got married, had two great kids, and worked for a hazardous waste company hauling various hazardous material. Russell has done a variety of other things, including underground wet and dry utility installations, road construction, excavation for large and small pads, hazardous materials clean up sites, demolitions, and hauled unmanned aircraft. All together that adds up to 30-plus years of heavy equipment and commercial truck driving experience.
